I got a call… to pick up a badly hurt dog. When we got to <her>, she wasn't moving. She had very severe ear infections, …some teeth missing, …cataracts, …and wasn't able to hear very well. Her little body was covered with cockleburs, …the pads on her feet were red and swollen as though she'd traveled a great distance. She wasn't in good shape. I called Kris and asked if she could help. When I returned…I was amazed at the transformation. …She quite evidently felt a hundred percent better as her step was livelier and she was moving around better.

We took Arty <the kitten> to see <our vet> in San Antonio when he was 2 months old. He was diagnosed with mega colon, his colon was enlarged to 3 times normal. He was so tiny we were concerned that he might not survive surgery. Kris <and Sioux> were kind enough to take Arty in and work on him free of charge. A couple of months later we decided to get a second opinion and took him to Texas A&M Veterinary College. I am happy that they said he no longer had mega colon and did not recommend surgery.

My mother, my adult daughter and I had a Totem Portrait done. It brought the three of us together in a way we'd not experienced before. In her painting, Sioux showed amazing insight into who we were as individuals and who we were as 3 generations of mother-to-daughter love and history. As TwoOwls interpreted the totems, we were all surprised to learn new things about ourselves and each other!
